Allen "Gipe" Grover Goff Sr.

Allen “Gipe” Grover Goff Sr., 76, of Rowlesburg, WV, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at his home. He was born on December 15, 1947, son of the late Orval Ray Goff and Maudie Mildred (Howdershelt) Goff.

Gipe was a 1966 graduate of Rowlesburg High School and was a manager of Cheat River Wood Products. He was a US Army Vietnam veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge #165 A.F & A.M. and the VFW #826. Gipe enjoyed going to his cabin and hunting, woodworking, cabinetry, and he loved riding motorcycles with his wife, Donna.

Gipe is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna Lee (Knotts) Goff; one son, Allen Goff Jr. (Amy), of Aurora; a grandson, Hunter Owen Goff; one brother, Darrell Goff (Charlotte), of Valley Bend; one sister, Peggy Wensel (Kirk), of Wheeling; brothers in law, Lowell Bolyard, of Akron, OH, Lanny Knotts (Faye), of Kingwood; sisters in law, Rosemary Goff, of Kingwood, Jean Goff, of Monroe Falls, OH; and many close friends.

In addition to his parents, Gipe was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray Goff, Ronald Goff, Richard “Dick” Goff; and four sisters, Helen Jean Knotts, Patty Bell, Alice Sigley, Mary Bolyard; parents in law, Homer D. Knotts and Helen Rae Knotts.
