Alletha Rose Whetsell

Alletha Rose Whetsell, 76, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Garrett Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 5, 1948 in the Whetsell Settlement, Terra Alta, daughter of the late Howard Earnest and Elizabeth “Betty” Virginia Whetsell.

Alletha was a pharmacy tech at Kingwood Pharmacy for many years. She loved scrapbooking, putting together picture albums, birdwatching, and flower gardening. Her family said she kept Pepsi in business and enjoyed smoking her cigarettes.

Alletha is survived by one son, DJ Jeffreys (Angela), of Kingwood; one daughter, Susan Loria (Sam), of Kingwood; four grandchildren: Caleb Gribble (Hailey), Emily Jeffreys, Jesse Gribble, and Chloe Jeffreys; one great grandson on the way, Lincoln Gribble; two brothers: Earnest Lee Whetsell, of Florida and Bob Whetsell (Elizabeth), of Texas; two sisters: Carolyn Frankhouser, of Kingwood and Evelyn Whetsell, of Kingwood; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Alletha was preceded in death by one brother in law, Kenneth Frankhouser.
