Betty Marie (Cale) Kelley

Betty Marie (Cole) Kelley, age 92, of Bruceton Mills, WV, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025 at her home. She was born April 10, 1932, in Preston County, WV, a daughter of the late John William Cale and Jessie (Hebb) Cale Metheny. Her husband Charles Wesley Kelley preceded her in death May 10, 2016.

Betty was a seamstress having worked at the Terra Alta sewing factory, she also worked at Murphy Mart and Hartland Nursing Home. She also worked as a farmer and enjoyed gardening, knitting, quilting and canning. Betty was a Methodist by faith and had attended the Albright Methodist Church.

Surviving are: one daughter, Sandra Lovelace, of Vero Beach, Florida; three sons, Ed Kelley and wife Rosetta, Donald Kelley, of Lima, OH, and Larry Kelly, of Bruceton Mills, WV; grandchildren, Cathy Smith and husband RJ, Chuck Cutwright, Larry “Wayne” Cutwright and wife Tammy, Kayla Jones and husband Thomas, Johnny Lovelace and wife Tori, and Stephanie Lovelace; great grandchildren, Logan, Anastaisha, Princeton, Landon, Mia, Shawn, Seth, Sammy, Charlie, Ramble, Alisha, and Junior; and eight great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by: one grandson, David Lovelace; one great grandchild; two brothers, James Cale and Donald Cale, three sisters, Ruth Adams, Rosetta Jenkins, and Mary Kelley.

Graveside services will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Monday, February 24th, 2025, at 12 noon. Rev. Jonathan Nettles officiating. Interment will follow.
