Betty Irene (Savage) White

Betty Irene White, age 78, of Kingwood, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the home of her daughter. She was born January 9, 1945 in Confluence, PA, a daughter of the late Nathan and Hannah (Walls) Savage.

Betty was an avid gardener and enjoyed knitting and sewing. She was a collector of bells and had a huge collection. She liked to play games on her tablet. She was retired having been employed as a certified nursing assistant at the former Hartland of Kingwood.

Surviving are: four children, Lucinda Ringer, of Bruceton Mills, Sylvia Shrout, of Kingwood, with whom she made her home, William White and wife Sharon, of Reedsville, and Charles White and wife Tammy, of Masontown; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Elliott and husband Elmer, of Albright; one brother, James Savage and wife Vicky, of Kingwood; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by:  two grandchildren; one great grandchild; four siblings, Kenneth Savage, Eugene Savage, Juanita Savage and May Savage.

Friends will be received at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 PM with Elder Minister Robert Bolyard officiating.  At her request Betty will be cremated following the service.
