Bobby Wayne Wiles, Sr., 82, of Tunnelton, WV, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024, in Morgantown, WV at J.W Ruby Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born August 12, 1942, in Rowlesburg, WV, a son of the late Alexander Young “AY” Wiles and Verlie Virginia Madlene (Sanders) Wiles. His wife of 34 years, Janie Ann (Poling) Wiles, survives. They were united in marriage January 19, 1990.
Bob was a US Army Veteran, he was retired from the B&O Railroad where he worked as a B&B foreman. He enjoyed life to the fullest, buggy riding with his best friend Mark, picking up aluminum cans throughout the town, hunting, fishing, playing cards, telling life stories to anyone who would listen, spending time with his friends and loved ones. Many of his friends felt like family to him. He was known by many as “Godfather”. He also enjoyed spending time with his many fur babies he had throughout the years.
In addition to his wife he is survived by: one son, Robby Wiles, of Tunnelton; one daughter, Dawn Sigley (Jeff), of Morgantown; eight grandchildren, Sabrea, Drake, Taya, Jenna, Kenny, DJ, Logan, and Jessie; nine great grandchildren; and one step son, Buddy Fadeley, of Winchester, VA; and one sister, Beth (Stanley) Wiles, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: one son Bobby W. Wiles, Jr.; one grandson, Justin Sigley, and one daughter, Tammy Powell, and one sister Betty Shahan.
At his request cremation services will be accorded by the Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, WV 26537. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
