Carole Aneta (Tayman) Funk

Carole Aneta (Tayman) Funk, age 82, of Erwin, Rowlesburg, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Grafton City Hospital. She was born July 12, 1942, in Manheim, WV, a daughter of the late John Harvey Tayman and Marguerite (Parker) Tayman. Her husband Edwin “Ed” A. Funk survives, they were united in marriage March 12, 1966.

Carole was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant having worked at Hopemont State Hospital and Kingwood Healthcare. She was a member of the Victory Church at Rowlesburg. She enjoyed her two cats and caring for many needy animals over the years. She also like crocheting, working sodoku puzzles, and flower gardening.

In addition to her husband she is survived by: three children, Lori Sanders, of Bridgeport; Sheri Lynn Sigley and husband Steve, of Pasadena, MD; and Gary Funk and wife April, of Olmsted, OH; five grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; three sisters, and two brothers.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers.

At her request there will be no services.
