Carson "Spivey" Dakota Foley

Carson “Spivey” Dakota Foley, 34, of Kingwood, WV, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer.  Born on June 21, 1990, Carson was the proud son of Patrick Glenn Foley and Cynthia Dawn (Shultz) Foley. From a young age, he embraced a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work.

Carson worked side by side with his father on the family’s cattle farm, Foley Cattle Company. Farming wasn’t just a job to him; it was his passion. He took immense pride in the land, the cattle, and the legacy they were building together. A skilled outdoorsman, Carson also enjoyed hunting bear, deer, and coons, and could often be found in the woods with his loyal hound dog, Henry.  Above all, Carson valued his role as a husband and father. His greatest joy came from teaching his son the values of hard work, respect, and faith. He was a man of strong convictions, a generous heart, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. Carson was the kind of man who quietly made a difference—steadfast, kind, godly, and true.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dakota Ann (Cramer) Foley; their beloved son, Johnny Boone Foley; his parents, Patrick and Cynthia Foley; his siblings, Adam Foley (Elizabeth) and Morgan Foley; nieces and nephews, Claire Foley, Ryan Foley, and Ellowyn Lou Cramer; mother-in-law, Brenda Cramer; brother-in-law, Jesse Cramer (Mari Kate Thompson); grandmother, Melva Jean (Densel) Gibson; and his faithful hound dog, Henry.

Carson was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ronald Roy Shultz and William Foley; his grandmother, Glenna Foley; and his father-in-law, Johnny Ray Cramer.

Family and friends will be received at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, WV, on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Marvin Frankhouser with private interment to follow.
