Catherine Mae (DeSantis) Smith

Catherine Mae (DeSantis) Smith, 75, of Kingwood, WV, died on December 7, 2021, at her home.

Catherine was born June 12, 1946, in Masontown, a daughter of the late Louis and Lucy Lucille (Whitehair) DeSantis.

She retired after working over 50 years as a CNA. She was a member of Safe Haven Apostolic Church in Kingwood. Catherine enjoyed spending time with her kids, spoiling her grandkids and great-grandkids.

She is survived by two sons, Kevin DeSantis of Kingwood, William Cavallier and fiancé, Deb McGee of Morgantown; two daughters and spouse, Lucinda and Junior Lewis of Oakland, MD, Glenda DeWitt of Kingwood; one step-son, Robert DeWitt II of Terra Alta; one step-daughter, Paula Scudder of Terra Alta; one brother, Louie DeSantis Jr. of Masontown one sister, Jennie Hileman of Kingwood; five grandchildren and spouses, Zackary and Allison Gidley, Joya and Jeremy Spadafore, Makenzie Scudder, Madison White, Isabelle McGee; two great-grandchildren, Clayton and Aiden Gidley, and one bundle of joy on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph DeSantis; one sister, Rosemary Tripp.

Friends will be received at the Safe Haven Apostolic Church, 208 East Main Street, Kingwood, WV 26537, on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. with Don and Madeline Titchenell officiating. Masks are optional.

Cremation was under the direction of Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel and Crematory. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Rotruck-Lobb Funeral Home either by mailing to 295 South Price Street, Kingwood, WV 26537 or online on their website over the obituary.
