Charles and Cathy Messenger

Charles G. Messenger, age 76, and Cathy Sue (Antoline) Messenger, age 72, husband and wife, of Bruceton Mills, WV, both passed away of natural causes on Thursday, January 5, 2023, both at WV Caring Hospice Elkins, WV, surrounded by their family. They were united in marriage January 6, 1996, so today they celebrate their 26th wedding anniversary and continue their love story together in heaven.

Both born in Morgantown, WV, Charles on April 25, 1946, and Cathy on May 19, 1949. Charles was the son of the late Charles Edward and Agnes Babaranne (McCluskey) Messenger. Cathy was a daughter of the late Louis and Doris (Hutchinson) Antoline.

Charles was a Vietnam veteran having served in the US Marine Corp. He was a jack of many trades but spent many years as a truck driver. Cathy worked as a payroll clerk for Consol Energy.

In honor of their requests Charles and Cathy were cremated. Their ashes will be conjoined and scattered at a later date.
