Claude "Whitey" William Plessinger Jr.

Claude “Whitey” William Plessinger Jr., 85, of Oakland, MD, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2026, at his home. He was born on November 10, 1940, in Somerset, PA, son of the late Claude William and Grace Arthella (Moore) Plessinger.

Claude was an ironworker for the Local 568. He was a member of the Mt. Top Hunting Club, and was a member of the Oakland #192, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason.

Claude is survived by his beloved wife, Andrea Elaine (Moore) Plessinger; his cherished daughters, Jane Niner and husband Roger, Nancy Tucker, Wendy Haden, all of Oakland; six wonderful grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.

Claude was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild, Heather Boone; and son in law, Jim Tucker.
