Darla Dean (Sisler) Moats, 78, of Inwood, WV, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Hospice of the Panhandle in Kearneysville, WV. She was born on February 2, 1948, in Oakland, MD, daughter of the late Arnold and Hazel (Rumer) Sisler.
Darla was a wonderful homemaker, making delicious homemade bread and pepperoni rolls. She was a loving and dedicated caretaker for her first husband, Lawrence, and her cherished grandchildren. Darla was always ready to go dancing to 50s music. Her lively spirit and joyful nature will be forever remembered.
Darla is survived by her husband of ten years, William “Bill” Eugene Myer; three daughters, Starla Lemuz and husband Alex, of VA, Cammy Trenum and husband Dennis, of Inwood, WV, Krissi Nell and husband Robert, of FL; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Palineau, and Carolyn Sisler, both of MD.
Darla was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lawrence Moats; two daughters, Lea Cross, Janet Moats; two brothers, Brad Sisler, Gary Sisler; and one sister, Catherine Teter.
Cremation services will be accorded by the Terra Alta Funeral Home and Crematory, 1112 West State Ave., Terra Alta. Inurnment will follow at the Aurora Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the Aurora Community Building.
