David Roger Storck

David R. Storck, age 89, passed away peacefully at his home in Terra Alta, West Virginia, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

David was born on December 31, 1936, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Geneva Harvey and Morley Storck. He lived a life rich in love, laughter and adventure, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.

David proudly served his country as a United States Marine, a chapter of his life he held with deep pride. He later enjoyed a long and successful career as a roofer, retiring in 1992 from the Roofers Union Local #47 out of Orange County, California.

Beyond his work and service, David was a man of remarkable talents and joyful passions. He was a champion horseshoe pitcher, winning national and world tournaments. He loved fishing, panning for gold, and watching old movies. Above all else, he was known as the funniest man most people ever met-always ready with a joke and a smile.

David lived a full and meaningful life, filled with love, enjoyment, and laughter. He will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

David is survived by his devoted wife of twenty years, Dottie (Keller) Storck; his children, Kialyn Straub (Jimmy), Noah Cline (Tracey), and Matthew Cline (Elizabeth); his sister, Connie of Arizona; and numerous beloved grand and great grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

David was preceded in death by his first wife of fifty years, Edith Storck; his daughters, Patricia Anderson and Amanda Cline; his son, David Storck Jr.; his brother, Donovan and Danny; and his sisters, Charlotte and Charlene.
