Donald Dean Hinckley, 44, of Kingwood, WV, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 8, 1981, in Lawrence, MA, a son of Christine Ann (Casarano) Hinckley and the late Jeffrey Dean Hinckley.
Donald lived his life with a joyful spirit and a big heart. He proudly competed in the Special Olympics, where he found not only a passion for sports but also lasting friendships and unforgettable experiences. He enjoyed many hobbies that brought him happiness—playing Monopoly, bowling, gaming, fishing, and, perhaps most of all, enjoying a good plate of nachos.
Family was always at the center of Donald’s world. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Christine Casarano of Kingwood; two brothers, David Hinckley and Christopher Hinckley, both of Kingwood; three uncles, Nick (Laurie) Casarano of Newburg, John Casarano of Hampstead, NH, and Wayne Hinckley of GA; and one cousin, Leah (Michael) Casarano Fraley of Beckley.
He was preceded in death by his father; his brother, Joseph Dillon Hinckley; his grandmother, Dorothy (Jim) Roy; and his grandfather, Veto Casarano.
Donald will be remembered for his kind heart, his sense of fun, and the way he brightened the lives of everyone who knew him.
Cremation services will be accorded privately by Kingwood Funeral Home.
