Douglas “Doug” Milton Savage, 55, of Kingwood, WV, passed away peacefully in Morgantown, WV, on Friday, January 9, 2026 surrounded by his family. Doug was born on October 17, 1970, in Morgantown, WV, a son of the late Leroy Milton Savage and Patricia Ann Taylor.
Doug dedicated 27 years of service to Allegany Wood Products and most recently worked at AFH Products in Norton, WV. He was a hard worker who cared deeply for the people he worked alongside, and he truly treated his coworkers like family, especially Brandon, who was like a brother to him. Outside of work, Doug enjoyed camping, fishing, and riding his buggy, but nothing meant more to him than time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Doug is survived by his life partner of 30 years, Linda Johnson; two children, Bradley (Yvonne) Johnson of Kingwood and Nicki (Virgil) Knotts of Kingwood; eight grandchildren, Robert, Trinity, Isabelle, Kourtney, Ivory, Hadley, Lexie, and Des; two great-grandsons, Tate and Weston; two siblings, Brenda (Louis) Johnson and Leroy (Tina) Savage; as well as his beloved dog, Millie, and cat, Charlie. He is also survived by many treasured nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his daughter, Brittney Thomas; and two nephews, James Jones and Zac Savage.
Per Doug’s wishes, he will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family’s funeral care fund (listed below) to help offset funeral expenses. Online condolences may be shared at www.kingwoodfuneralhomewv.com
