Edith Burhl (Smith) Christopher

Edith Burhl Christopher, 93 of Kingwood, died Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Preston Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 3, 1928, in Bruceton Mills, a daughter of the late Cloyd and Winona Speelman Smith.

Edith was a loving mother, grandmother and a homemaker. She was a member of the Kingwood Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, William Christopher and wife, Janet of Kingwood; grandchildren, Robert (Monica) Maxwell and Carson (Makiko) Christopher of Morgantown; Kevin (Shelly) Maxwell of Kingwood; Karyn Christopher and Kaylyn (Nate King) Christopher of Fairmont; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Wilfred Smith and a sister Eujenia Harned.

Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 11am to1pm the funeral hour with Pastor Charles Warger officiating. Interment will follow at the Sugar Valley Cemetery.
