Edith Wilmajean "Jean" (Hoffman) Weekley

Edith Wilmajean “Jean” Weekly, age 88, of Kingwood, passed away May 8, 2024, at Kingwood Healthcare Center. She was born November 24, 1935, in Howesville, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Henry Hoffman, and Annabelle (Stump) Hoffman. Her husband, Raymond Junior “June” Weekley, preceded her in death June 22, 2010.

Jean was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Kingwood where she pioneered as a minister for at least 10 years. She loved her cats and spent many winters working puzzles with June.

Surviving are: one sister, Sue Ellen Harrison; one brother; Clarence “Butch” Hoffman; and several nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly; and many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by: one son, Charles A. Weekley in 2007; and nine siblings, Harry “Pete” Hoffman, William “Bill Hoffman, Ronald Hoffman, May Kay “Micky” Kilkenny Jackson, Betty Jo Ringer, James “Jimmy” Hoffman, Ralph Henry “Bud” Hoffman, Marie Moore, and Elizabeth Hoffman.

At her request cremation services will be accorded by Kingwood Funeral Home and Crematory. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 1:30 pm, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Kingwood, 218 E. High Street, Kingwood, WV 26537.
