Eleanor "Bonnie" Ruth (Boggs) Moore

Eleanor “Bonnie” Ruth (Boggs) Moore, 85, of Tunnelton, WV, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Kingwood Healthcare Center. Bonnie was born in Beckley, WV, on February 28, 1941, daughter of the late William Arnie and Margaret Pearl (Johnson) Boggs.

Bonnie was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and had attended Beckley College. She was a member of the WV Horsemen’s Association and a Tri State Barrel Racing Champion. Bonnie was an accomplished horse trainer and she excelled in pole bending, barrel racing, carriage class and English pleasure. Besides horses, she loved dogs and was a talented pianist.

Bonnie is survived by her sister, Peggy Chambers and husband Donald, of Beckley, and a brother, Dr. George Johnson Boggs and wife Babetta, of TN.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Larry Waymond Moore; and her son, Allen Moore.
