Elizabeth Carrie (Sypolt) Moore

Elizabeth Carrie Moore, 94, of Kingwood, WV passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Kingwood Healthcare. She was born in Kingwood, January 14, 1930, a daughter of the late Edward L. Sypolt and Ida Mae (Ridenour) Sypolt.  Her husband Dewey Thurman Moore preceded her in death January 5, 1982.

Surviving are: one son, Thomas “Tom” Moore and wife Cindy, of Kingwood; two daughters, Mary Fankhauser and husband John, of Monroe, GA, and Joyce Rhoda, of Ocala, FL; one daughter in law, Theresa M. Moore; grandchildren, Dewey (Nasook), Kristy (Jason), Beth (Chad), Julie (Trent), Angie (Rich) Becky (Matt), Tommy (Stacey), Andrea, Tony (Coty), and Shannon; great grandchildren, Jael, Jaren, Sydney (Jackson), Aaron (Citali), Royce, Reese, Ross, Thomas III, Emilee, Lucian, Malachi, Conner, Camden, Morgan, Madelynn,  Christian, Eleni, Kaiden, Logan, Chloe, Dylan, Molan, and Spurgeon.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by: one son, Dewey Eldon Moore, November 1, 2010; one grandson, Tyler Aaron Moore, September 30, 2021; and two brothers, Carl Sypolt and Charles Sypolt.

She retired after working 35 years at Preston Memorial Hospitall. Liz was a member of the Masontown Church of Later Day Saints, she volunteered at Heartland of Kingwood. She loved walking around the Kingwood community, and visiting her friends. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking and Sunday dinners.

To honor her wishes there will be no services. Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Kingwood, WV.
