Elsie Berline (Crane) Braham

Elsie Berline (Crane) Braham, 96, of Morgantown formerly of Valley Point went to be with the Lord Friday, December 22, 2023, at Sundale Nursing Home, Morgantown, WV, surrounded by her family. She was born August 6, 1927, in Valley Point, WV, a daughter of the late Guy and Effie (Liston) Crane.

Elsie was retired having formerly worked as an assistant to the circuit clerk at Monongalia Court House. She was an avid golfer and mountaineer fan.

She was survived by: one son, Eric Braham and wife Valerie, of Morgantown; two daughters, Deborah Mehl and husband Tom of St. Clairsville, OH, and Carla Miller and husband Michael, of Butler, PA; ten grand and great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Maxwell, of Valley Point, WV; and one sister-in-law, Patricia Crane, of Kingwood, WV.

In addition to her parents she is preceded by her husband, Barkley “Buck” Braham on September 26, 2016; one brother, Robert Crane; and two sisters, Gertrude Liston, and Darlene DeBerry.

Family and friends may call Kingwood Funeral home, 295 South Price Street, Kingwood, WV, 26537, on Tuesday December 26, 2023 from 11am until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon, Tuesday, December 26, 2023 with Pastor Rich Schimansky officiating. Internment will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Valley Point, WV.
