Ernest Earl Stonebraker

Ernest Earl Stonebraker Sr., 65, of Kingwood, WV, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, following an illness. Born on October 17, 1959, in Kingwood, he was the son of the late Ernest H. Stonebraker, and Harriett E. “Betty” Louk, who survives of Kingwood.

Ernest was a proud member of the Local 379 Laborer’s Union, where he dedicated many years of hard work. Outside of his professional life, Ernest had a deep love for fishing, a hobby that brought him peace and happiness.

He is survived by his loving fiancée, Rella Wolfe, of Kingwood; his daughter, Rebecca Dawn Stonebraker, of Charleston, WV; his son, Ernest Earl Stonebraker Jr., and his wife Theresa, of Pennsylvania; and his two beloved grandchildren, Alayneh and Lucas Sapp, both of Charleston, WV; two sisters, Elsie Field and Ida Cartwright, both of Reedsville; and a brother, John Stonebraker, of Kingwood. He is also survived by his other family Rella’s son, Carmen Arbogast, and a daughter Kayla Jones; grandchildren, Anna Green, Princeton Green, Mia Long, Landon Green, Wyllow Barker, Colton Arbogast, and Dawn Arbogast; and his three dogs.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his late wife, Rebecca Sue Nelson Stonebraker.

Ernest will be remembered for his warmth, sense of humor, and love for his family and friends. He touched many lives with his kind heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Cremation services will be accorded by Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, WV 26537.
