Gary Lee May

Gary Lee May, Sr., 73, of Kingwood, WV, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Mon Health Medical Center. Gary was born in Kingwood, WV, on September 2, 1952, a son of the late William May and Pauline (Shrout) May. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Lillie Marie May, in 2016.

Gary was known for always helping others. He was a mechanic by trade and freely donated his time and talents to fix vehicles for friends, family, and anyone in need. He could build and wire houses, was a good plumber, and had many other skills. He loved cars, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Gary is survived by three children, Gary Lee May, Jr. (Loretta), Casey Fulk (Eric), and Paul Lin Nice; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several treasured nieces and nephews; and his cherished dog, Chumlee.

In addition to his wife and parents, Gary was preceded in death by several of his brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 South Price Street, Kingwood, WV, on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 12:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 pm, with Reverend Ray Frankhouser officiating.
