Getty Wayne Keefer, 79, of Friendsville, MD, passed away at his home.
He was born January 16, 1943 in Kingwood. Getty was the son of the late Getty R and Nina P Keefer.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Wilma Jean (Trout) Keefer, his three children, Mark, Crystal and Cindy; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Getty graduated at Southern High School in Oakland, MD. He was a truck driver for 30 years,he also worked in the mines and at a chicken plant. He loved to sing and sang at many churches. He always lended a helping hand to those in need. Getty wasn’t a stranger to anyone; he was always a happy person.
Getty was a loving husband and father. He served in the US Army from 1961-1965 and spent that time with missionaries. Getty Wayne Keefer is and will always be loved.

Family will receive friends at Kingwood Funeral Home Chapel in Kingwood on Wednesday September 21, 2022 at 11am till 1pm, the funeral hour with Reverends, Tim Warnick and Bob Hoover officiating. Military rites will be conducted during service. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
