Gloria Faye (Huffman) Mayne

Gloria Faye (Huffman) Mayne, 75, of Rowlesburg, WV, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.  She was born on October 19, 1949, in Brookeside Aurora, WV.  Gloria was the daughter of the late Homer and Bertha Huffman.

Gloria worked at the Sewing Factory, Chicken Plant, and as a waitress/bartender until becoming a homemaker.  She loved gardening, animals, and spending time with her family.  She spent the majority of her time taking care of her three grandsons, David, Charles and Nikolai.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Charles W. Mayne; her two sons, Charles Mayne and James Mayne (Kimberly); two daughters, Stacey Mayne (Jesse) and Sarah Benson; five grandsons, Charles Mayne, David Stemple, Charles Stemple, Alex Mayne, and Nikolai Stemple; one granddaughter, Taylor Mayne; three brothers, Homer Huffman Jr., Ray Huffman, and Dwight Huffman; four sisters, Alice Knotts (Clarence), Arline McKinney, Mary Mayne (William), and Linda Huffman; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by three infant brothers; her son, Dewayne Mayne; son-in-law, Tyler Benson; brother-in-law, Jack McKinney; sister-in-law, Beverly Huffman; and her father-in-law, Earl Mayne. 

In accordance with Gloria’s wishes, she will be cremated and buried next to her son.  She requested no service.  The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of WV Caring for their unwavering care and support.
