Gregory "Greg" Alan DeBarr

Gregory “Greg” Alan DeBarr, 68, of Kingwood, WV, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 28, 2025, following a brief battle with cancer. He was born on June 7, 1957 in Fredericksburg, VA, son of the late Eugene O’Neil DeBarr and Archetta Lou (Long) DeBarr.

Greg was a 1975 graduate of Kingwood High School. He was a carpenter by trade. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors and riding his Harley. He was proud of his sobriety, this year marked 27 years sober.

Greg is survived by his son, Tyler DeBarr, of Arthurdale; three grandchildren, Ashlynn DeBarr, Colton DeBarr, both of Arthurdale, Matt DeBarr, of Rivesville; two sisters, Lynne Kilkenny and husband Ted, of Tunnelton, Lori Ann Murphy, of Lebanon, PA; nieces and nephews, Alisa Kilkenny and companion Dave, Bethany Scott and husband Mike, Marissa Curtiss and husband Anthony, Preston Murphy, Ashley Murphy and husband Nick; several great nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his son, Joshua DeBarr.

Cremation services will be accorded by Kingwood Funeral Home and Crematory, 295 S. Price St. Kingwood. A Graveside Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, with Pastor Chris Baker officiating.
