Harry Lynn Fraley, 81, of Terra Alta, WV, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at WVU Hospital in Morgantown, surrounded by his children and his friend and caregiver, Donna Livengood. Lynn was born on September 25, 1943 in Morgantown, son of the late Harry Thomas and Madeline Beatrice (Wolfe) Fraley.
Lynn was a 1961 graduate of Terra Alta High School, a 1965 graduate of WVU with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a master’s degree. Lynn taught physical education and health for over 36 years at Somerset High School in Pennsylvania, Dennett Road Elementary and Southern Middle School in Garrett County, Maryland.
Lynn was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2391 in Kingwood, and the American Legion, Oakland, MD. He enjoyed coaching, football, gymnastics, fishing, hunting, and spending time at the beach in Chincoteague. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Lynn is survived by his son, Todd Fraley (Erica), of Sedalia, MO; a daughter, Terri Chiriboga (Carlos), of Alexandria, VA; six grandchildren, Carlos Antonio Chiriboga, Javier Chiriboga, Seth Marshall Fraley (Reese), Cate Eisenmenger, Libby Eisenmenger, Beckett Eisenmenger; and one great grandchild, Shepherd Fraley.
In addition to his parents, Lynn was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Allen Fraley; and one sister, Linda Ann Fraley.
Cremation services were accorded by Terra Alta Funeral Home and Crematory, 1112 W. State Ave. Terra Alta, WV, 26764. The family will host a burial of Lynn's ashes and memorial at 11am on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Terra Alta Cemetery. Following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life at "Ole Briary" located at 539 Goff Road, Terra Alta.
