James Doliver Thomas

James Doliver Thomas, 62, of Kingwood, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

He was born on April 11, 1961, in Oakland, MD, son of the late Marvin Ray Thomas and Ethel May (Deberry) Thomas.

James was a graduate of Kingwood High School, and he also served as a sergeant in the US Army stationed in Germany. After serving his country, James worked in the timber industry as an equipment operator.

James is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Baker and husband Brian, Jamie Thomas and fiancé Frank Goines II; one son, Justin Goff and wife Heather; ex-wife, Patricia Thomas; eleven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; four sisters, Barbara Hornyak and husband Bobby, Wilma Sergeant, Christina Reams and husband David, and Sherry Thomas; and four brothers, Lynn Thomas and wife Sherry, Marvin Thomas and wife Vicki, Terry Thomas and wife Robin, and Chris Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two brothers in law, Ernie Sergeant and Eugene Goff.
