James "Jim" Harvey Armstrong
Obituary
James Armstrong, 91, formerly of Dennis, MA, died on April 29, 2023 at his home in Kingwood, WV. He was born in Boston, MA to the late James H. Armstrong and Lillian Campbell Armstrong.
He was a graduate of Boston Latin High School and Boston College. He taught math in Virginia at Hammond High School and Fort Hunt High School. He also served in the Army and the Reserves each for three years.
Jim married Alyson Crogan Armstrong in August of 1982 and after retiring from teaching they made their home on Cape Cod, MA where Jim enjoyed many different activities: golfing, bowling, fishing, billiards, poker, gardening and water color painting. No matter where he was living, he remained an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
He is survived by his wife, Alyson of Kingwood, and his sister, Lillian Martin, and a very special nephew and niece, John and Ana Martin all of Boston, MA.
Jim was of the Catholic faith. The family will be having a private gathering in his memory at a later time.
