James Franklin “Jim” Rinard of Greensboro, GA died Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. He was born May 1, 1936 to the late George Henry Rinard and Margaret Penrose Naus Rinard. Jim was retired after working 20 plus years as the President and CEO of Vantage Products Corporation in Conyers, GA.
Mr. Rinard was a native of Keyser, WV. He attended Potomac State College, and later attended West Virginia University where he graduated in 1959 with a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation he entered the U. S. Army as 2nd Lieutenant, Ordinance Corps. Upon discharge from the military service he worked at Hercules for the Company’s Allegheny Ballistics Laboratory.
Jim made his retirement home in Greensboro, GA, with his wife Shirley Rinard who preceded him in death in 2014. Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Rinard of Greensboro, GA and Krista Rinard Elliott (Todd) of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Jessica Elliott, Kasey Petrea Polzin (Andrew) and Shelby Davis; brother, George William “Bill” Rinard.
In his retirement years he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, working out, taking care of his yard, going to trivia, and attending Church and Sunday school.
A Graveside Service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 3pm, with Reverend Mike Argabrite officiating.
