JoAnn (Bohon) Barger

JoAnn (Bohon) Barger, age 75, of Kingwood, WV passed away on June 19, 2022 at Preston Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 31, 1947, to the late Lincoln and Erma (Sheets) Bohon of Terra Alta, WV.

JoAnn is survived by her three children, Tami Barger of Kingwood, WV, Shawn Barger and wife Beth of Kingwood, WV, and Douglas Barger and Glenda Bennett of Kitzmiller, MD; five grandchildren, Denae Field, Kaylan Dalton and husband Tim, Brody Barger and wife Morgan, Emily Barger, and Hannah Maier and fiancé Levi Nolan; five great-grandchildren; her brother, Randy Bohon and wife Joretha of Terra Alta, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Douglas Barger.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, talking on the phone with friends, and going to yard sales. Her cat “Fluffy” was her pride and joy. JoAnn was always the life of the party and had an infectious laugh, after many years of service at Heartland of Preston County, she worked for Hospice Care where she devoted 15 years of care until retirement.

Her family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Stonerise, Preston Memorial Hospital, and WV Caring Hospice for all the love and support they provided for JoAnn.

In honoring JoAnn’s wishes there will not be any funeral services.
