John Edwin Snyder

John Edwin Snyder, age 65, of Kingwood, WV, passed away Thursday, February 01, 2024, in Morgantown, with his family by his side. He was born September 1, 1958, a son of the late Melvin Claud and Mary Joan (Griffith) Snyder.  He is survived by his wife, Darlene Marie (Bowins) Snyder.

John was a 1976 graduate of Kingwood High School, he was employed as a maintenance electrician for Mon Heath Preston Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Muddy Creek Sportsman Club, and loved fishing and golf.

In addition to his wife he is survived by: his step-mother Ann Snyder, Chicago, IL; two sons, Jonathon Edwin Snyder, Kingwood, and Justin Michael Bowins, AL; one daughter Kaitlin Marie Ulrich, Ohio; two brothers, Melvin Claude Snyder III and wife Mary Ellen, and Geoff Norcross, of Oregon; one sister, Gwendolyn “GiGi” Willems; and several nieces and nephews.

At his request cremation services will be accorded by Kingwood Funeral Home and Cremation. Friends and family will be received at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, on Wednesday, from 2 pm until the time of service. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 4 pm, at the funeral home, with Rev. David Spence officiating.
