Joseph “Joe” Brian Mayne, 57, of Tunnelton, WV, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 11, 1968, in Kingwood, son of Don Mayne, of Eglon, and Rosemary (Miller) Mayne, of Tunnelton.
Joe was a graduate of Central Preston High School and had worked as a truck driver and a laborer for Garrett Container System. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and doing anything outside. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Joe is survived by his parents; his wife of thirty years, Betty Jean (Westbrook) Mayne; two sons, Floyd Bolyard and wife Pamela, of Bruceton Mills, James Bolyard and wife Crystal, of Howesville; one daughter, Amanda Bolyard, of Danville, VA; seven grandchildren, Kayleigh, Travis, Deonte, Hunter, Tiffney, Jace, James; one sister, Vicky Linn and husband Aaron, of Bridgeport; two nephews, Jacob Linn, of Hepzibah, Trevor Linn, of Bridgeport; and one niece, Hailee Linn, of Bridgeport.
Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Helen Miller, and Leroy and Ellie Mayne.
Friends and family will be received at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price St., Kingwood, on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 9am until the 11am Liturgy Outside of Mass, with Father Dominic Athishu as Celebrant. Internment will follow at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Accident, MD.
