Joy Yvonne "Bonnie" (Beal) Casteel

Joy Yvonne "Bonnie" (Beal) Casteel, age 93, of Bethlehem, PA, formerly of Kingwood passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023. She was born in Mt. Savage, MD on November 18, 1929. At an early age, she and her family moved to Preston County where she graduated from high school. During her life, Bonnie worked at a variety of jobs, but her primary life goal was caring for others. She had a kind generous heart and loved fiercely.

Bonnie was very talented and creative. She could take nothing and turn it into something wonderful. She loved gardening, spending time in her kitchen, canning, trying new recipes and making old family favorites. Her specialties included delectable desserts.

She was a skilled seamstress, making clothes for her daughters as well as Barbie outfits and Halloween costumes for her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Casteel Mullens; her former husband, Fred Casteel; her sisters and brothers-in-law: Wilda and Bob Jenkins and Gloria Mae and Fred Taylor; her brother, Ronnie Beal; and her parents, Albert and Edith Beal.

She leaves behind her daughter, Jo Casteel Butler and her husband David; granddaughters: Whitney Clark and her husband Mike, Kendall Shelly and her husband Chris; four great grandchildren; son-in-law, Mike Mullens; sister-in-law, Judy Beal; lifelong friends, Pat and Dave Halbritter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 26 at 2:00 at the Campground Cemetery in Tunnelton. WV.
