Joyce Ann (Strawser) Cool

Joyce Ann (Strawser) Cool, 93, of Tunnelton, WV, passes away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Kingwood Healthcare Center. She was born on October 5, 1932 in Tunnelton, daughter of the late Richard Harold Strawser and Sophia Mae (Nestor) Strawser.

Joyce was a 1950 graduate of Tunnelton High School. She enjoyed gardening and loved her cats. Joyce was a devoted homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandma.

Joyce is survived by her son, Mike Cool, of Tunnelton; two grandchildren, Brandon Cool, of Morgantown, Michelle West and husband Derrek, of Clarksburg; one great granddaughter, Maci West of Clarksburg; one sister in law, Virginia Strawser of Tunnelton; and many nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-two years, William “Bob” Neal Cool; two brothers, Richard Strawser, William Strawser; and her special cat Smokey.

Friends and family will be received at the Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price St., Kingwood, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 12pm to the 2pm funeral hour, with Reverend Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Ground Cemetery.
