Obituary
Katherine Joyce (Iman) Menear, age 77, of Kingwood, WV, departed this life on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at WVU Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born in Borgman, Preston County, WV on October 25, 1945, a daughter of the late Thomas Gerald Iman, and Mary Ellen (Bowmar) Iman.
Katherine worked as a secretary for many years, and was the general manager for MWR Services at Camp Dawson. She cherished the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Peaslee of Kingwood; a sister, Helen Nalesnik of Darlington, PA; and two grandchildren: Tara Peaslee and Ty Peaslee.
Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee Menear in 2017; a brother, Jerry Iman, and sisters: Norma Brydebell, and Patricia Brand.
Friends may call at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood on Thursday, January 26 from 12 – 2:00 PM Funeral services will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 2 PM at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Linda English officiating. Interment will follow at Shay’s Chapel Cemetery.
