Kathy Lynn (Watkins) Blaney, 70, of Bruceton Mills, WV, passed away at WVU Hospital in Morgantown, on Thursday, October 24, 2024. She was born in Morgantown, daughter of the late Harold “Pee Wee” Willard Watkins and Helen M. (Arbogast) Watkins.
Kathy was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Kingwood. She had worked at Food Lion and Kroger in Sabraton. Kathy enjoyed making crafts crocheting, baking and cooking. She loved her family dearly, especially being “Nan” to her grandkids.
Kathy is survived by her husband of fifty years, Larry Kay Blaney; two sons, Millard Blaney, of Martinsburg, WV, Rodney Watkins (Sherry), of Kingwood; six grandchildren, Austin, Mathew, Makayla, Katelynn, Aridessa, Leah; two great grandchildren, Austin, Aubrey; three brothers, Harold Watkins, Roger (Phyllis) Watkins, Tim Watkins, all of Newburg; two sisters, Willa Sigley, of Kingwood, Christine (Lonnie) Carr, of Rowlesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Oaklynn Blaney.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 1:00 pm officiated by the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 218 E. High Street, Kingwood, WV 26537, with a reception following at the Mt. Vernon Community Building on Kingwood Pike.
