Kay Patricia Ewing Oertel, 83, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2018.

She had recently moved to Kingwood, to be with family.

She leaves behind a brother and two sisters, George, Jessie and Beulah. She also leaves two daughters, Norene Horn and husband Chip; Laine Gordon and husband, Duff; four grandchildren, Grey, Bethany, Barrie and Georgia as well as five great grandchildren.

She loved her family and did all she could to make sure that they had what they needed to succeed in life.

The family would like to thank Hospice and Amedisys for all they have done for her, you have become family, also they would like to thank all of the people who have helped them through this time.

She has requested to be cremated. There will be a memorial for Mrs. Oertel on March 12, 2018, 3pm at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Kingwood.
