Kenneth Wayne Bolyard Sr.

Kenneth Wayne Bolyard Sr. (1960-2025) of Preston County, WV, passed away on January 18th surrounded by loving family. Kenneth, or Kenny as he was known to friends and family, was born March 16, 1960, in Kingwood, WV, the son of Ruby Simpson and Alston Bolyard.

His beloved wife, Audra Bolyard, supported him directly by his side until his passing, just as she had throughout their 32 year marriage. Together, they had two children, Kenneth W. Bolyard II and Lucas A. Bolyard, and four grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jimmy, Kayden, and Elih. Kenny will also be fondly remembered by his daughter Aelicia Bolyard and son Garrett Smith. Kenny was a talented “jack of all trades” who touched many in his community through his diligent trade work, and his memory lives on through the numerous projects he completed. Family and friends often remember Kenny either sitting in his garage, where he spent much of his time, or tending to his garden where he grew a variety of fruits and vegetables to share with others.

He was a dedicated, loving, and caring husband, father, brother, and friend and will be deeply missed. Remaining to cherish Kenny’s memory are his wife and children, as well as his many siblings who will remember him fondly; Bonnie (Ray) Frankhouser, Debra (Russell) Riley, Jerry (Jean) Bolyard, Sherry (Rick) Cosner, and Pam (Bobby) Johnson.
