Kevin "Buck" Darrell Sapp

Kevin “Buck” Darrell Sapp, 78, of Valley Point, WV, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Mon General Hospital. He was born on August 31, 1947 in Bobtown, PA, the youngest son of the late Bud Steen Sapp and Lalah Maude (Stull) Sapp.

Buck worked as a general laborer for many different people and contracting companies throughout his life. The last twenty years he worked for Bill Bolinger at J&B Sons in Lennox.

Buck enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was always willing to help others. As an avid outdoorsman, he loved taking care of the wildlife and feeding the deer and turkeys. Most of all, he loved quiet evenings at home with Linda.

Buck is survived by his companion of twenty-eight years and fiancée, Linda (Bolyard) Rager, of Reedsville; one daughter, Donna Drain (Ronnie), of Morgantown; his grandchildren, Keith Robey (Ashley), of Cheat Lake, Kristi Robey, of Morgantown, Chad Sapp (Amanda), of Masontown; great grandchildren, Tristan Robey, Cheyenne Robey, Bailey Robey, Bobby Robey, Blaze Shaffer, Maddox Shaffer, Kiera Shaffer, Chanda Sapp, Kate Sapp, Chad Sapp Jr., Ian Sapp; his sisters, Edith Spiker, of Tunnelton, Joyce Blake (Nelson), of Maidsville, Linda Sigley (Terry), of Moatsville, Nilla Sapp, of Kingwood; Linda’s children, Aimee Harrison (Dennis), of Hedgesville, Jonathan Rager (Megan), of King George, VA, Thomas Rager (Michelle), of Wilmington, NC; Linda’s grandchildren, Makaylin Harrison, Carter Rager, Parker Rager, Hadlee Rager, Sutton Rager; many nieces, nephews and numerous dear friends.

Buck was preceded in death by his parents; his companion, Ruby Sapp; his sisters, Alda Miller, Susan Sapp; his brothers, Kenneth Sapp, Camden “Bob” Sapp, Jerry “Jeff” Sapp; his step children, Cathy Sapp, Robert Sapp Jr., Camden “Jeff” Sapp Jr.; and two great grandchildren, Sadie Robey, Axel Shaffer.

Friends and family will be received at the Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 11:30am until the 1:30pm funeral hour, with Pastor Joe Lamm officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Ground Cemetery.
