Lena Annabella (Watring) Likens

Lena Annabelle Likens, 88, of Rowlesburg, died October 21, 2022 at Mon Preston Memorial Hospital with loving family by her side.

She was born June 19,1934 in Shaffers Town (St. George) the daughter of the late John Joseph and Vernie Eva (Lipscomb) Watring.

Lena was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was a teacher aid for Kingwood Elementary and worked weekends at Cool Spring Park.

Lena enjoyed cooking for her family especially biscuits and gravy every Sunday morning and loved to joke around.   

She is survived by her three sons, Bob Likens of Rowlesburg, Charles Likens of Tunnelton and Elmer Likensand wife, Patricia of Kingwood; a daughter, Donna Dailey and companion, Glenn Lloyd of Rowlesburg; three brothers, Eugene Watring of Anderson, SC, Alex Watring of Rowlesburg and George Watring of Kingwood; a sister, Mary Arbogast of Rowlesburg; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Lena was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Elmer Sanford Likens in 2008, two sisters, Doris Goodman and Betty Miller; two great- grandkids, Evangelena Hollobaugh and Aaron Likens.

Family will receive friends at Kingwood Funeral Home at 295 S. Price St. on Sunday 12 noon till 2 pm the funeral hour with Reverend Ray Frankhouser officiating.

The family will have a private burial at a later date.
