Linda Kay (Hott) Brown

Linda Kay (Hott) Brown, 72, of Kingwood, WV, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, December 8, 2025, in Morgantown, WV. Linda was born on April 11, 1953, in Keyser, WV, a daughter of the late Wilco M. Hott and Betty (Ely) Hott.

Linda worked as a beautician for over 44 years, making people look and feel beautiful. Her greatest joy was her family and friends, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was famous for her pepperoni rolls. She enjoyed camping, walking, cruising, going to church, working, and helping with community lunches. She had been a devoted member of the Reedsville United Methodist Church since 2011.

Linda is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Gary Sargent Brown; one son, Jeffrey Brown and his wife, Kelly; one daughter, Sherri Karickhoff and her husband, Mark; one sister, Ruth Mozingo; five treasured grandchildren, Logan Brown and his wife, Bailey, Kaitlyn Brown, Karson Karickhoff, Cooper Karickhoff, and Karter Karickhoff; three nieces, Amanda, Kathleen, and Amanda; two nephews, Colby and Cy; one brother-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Hott.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, her hard work, and the love she shared so generously with everyone around her.

Friends may gather on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, WV, from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM, where a service will be held at 3:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Lisa Fox officiating.
