Lula Belle (Kerns) Bolyard

Lula Belle Kerns Bolyard, 92 of Mineral, VA, formerly of Rowlesburg, WV passed away on Monday January 15, 2024 at Louisa Health and Rehabilitation, Louisa, VA. She was born January 12, 1932 in Rowlesburg, daughter of the late Arthur John and Hettie Shaffer Kerns. Lula Belle graduated from Rowlesburg High School in 1950. She worked at Hopemont State Hospital as a physical therapist. Lula Belle was a former member of Rowlesburg United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Bolyard and wife (Brenda) Harrisonburg, VA, Drew Bolyard and wife (Henrietta), Mineral, VA; grandchildren, Kiley Bolyard, Josh Bolyard, Devin Bolyard, Jeff Alexander, Ron Alexander, Amy Lummer and Amanda Roberts; eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lula Belle was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Andrew Bolyard, Sr whom she married on January 24, 1955 and passed on December 3, 2002; four sisters and six brothers.  Family and friends will be received at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S Price Street, Kingwood on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 3:00-7:00 pm and on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Margie Waybright officiating.
