Mark Charles Johnson

Mark Charles Johnson, 61, of Kingwood, WV passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023. He was born August 17, 1961 in Kingwood, son of Charles Heroy Johnson and Ann Shaffer Taylor of Kingwood. Mark graduated from Central Preston High School, Class of 1979 and received his bachelors from Fairmont State College. He was working as a test technician for Phenix Technologies with twenty-two years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed playing banjo, hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and going to gun shows. His passion was cars and especially Mustangs. Mark cherished his family and the time he spent with them.

In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his wife, Barbara Kay Bowmar Johnson whom he married on July 22, 1995; two daughters, Brandi Danielle Johnson and companion Christopher Cole, Terra Alta, and Kaitlyn Rose Johnson; one sister, Suzanne Carol Keener, Kingwood, one brother, Matthew Johnson and Zeda, Kingwood; two aunts, Arlene Metheny and Mary Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 South Price Street, Kingwood on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 1-7PM, and again on Sunday, May 28 from 11:00AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00PM with Pastor Sonny McNear officiating.  Interment will follow at Terra Alta Cemetery.
