Marvin Ray Bankhead

Marvin Ray Bankhead, age 82, of Bruceton Mills, WV, passed away June 7, 2023 at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born in Preston County, WV, July 8, 1940, a son of the late Manuel L. Bankhead and Winona (Uphold) Bankhead.

Surviving are:  two daughters, Angela Henson and Shane Smith, and Sandra Deitz, both of Bruceton Mills; four grandchildren, Christopher Durr, of Bruceton Mills, Matthew Groves, of Kingwood, Shane Michael Smith, and Zachary Smith, both of Bruceton Mills; one great grandson, Tucker Shane Allen Durr, of Reedsville; siblings Shirley Dudley, Galen Bankhead, Melvin Bankhead, Stanley Bankhead, all of Bruceton Mills, David Bankhead, of Parsons, and Diane Hines, of Kingwood; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one grandson, Clinton Ray Bankhead, and siblings, Lawson Bankhead and Patricia Adams.

At his request cremation will take place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
