Mary Frances (Likens) Johnson

Mary Frances (Likens) Johnson, age 83, of Hepzibah, WV, formerly of Terra Alta, WV, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.  She was born in St. George, WV, March 2, 1942, a daughter of the late Delbert Nelson Likens and Anna Margarete (Hebb) Likens.  Her husband, Marshall S. Johnson, preceded her in death. They were united in marriage Jun 9, 1969.

Mary attended Frankfort Pilgrim College and was a homemaker, she was an avid quilter and enjoyed embroidery, but most important to her was her family and the Lord, she was a devoted Christian.

Surviving are: one daughter, Heather L. (Bill) Dukich, of Hepzibah, WV; and one sister, Evelyn Groves, of Albright, WV.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Marshall Stuart Johnson, who passed in 1981.

Friends may call at Terra Alta Funeral Home, 1112 W. State Ave., Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 2-5 pm, and Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 1 pm until the funeral hour.  Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, at the funeral home, Sunday, May 18, 2025, with Rev. David Spence officiating.  Interment will follow at Terra Alta Cemetery.
