Mary Ethel (Moon) Matlick

Mary Ethel (Moon) Matlick, 88, of Kingwood, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 3, 1936 in Tunnelton, daughter of the late Chester S. and Helen Ruth (Bowmar) Moon.

Mary helped operate the West Virginia Inn with her mother Helen. She was also a homemaker and enjoyed camping.

Mary is survived by her son, Michael Monroe Matlick (Debbie); a daughter, Kimberly Lynn Murray (Ricky); two brothers, Stanley Moon (Sue), Terry Moon (Bertha); a sister, Betty L. Smith; four grandchildren, Michael Matlick (Kris), Kaleb Murray (Amber), Katy Sheets (Robby), Jacob Matlick (Makayla); and fourteen  great grandchildren, Haylin, Peyton, Hadassah, Hailey, Kaiya, Trenten, KJ, Boone, Kinsley, Shamika, Paisley, Lakyn, Jericho, and Ella Rose.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edgar Matlick; and one brother, James R. Moon.
