Mary Ellen Shaver

Mary Ellen Shaver, 81 of Rowlesburg, passed away on Monday,  March 14, 2022, at Stonerise Nursing Home in Kingwood.

She was born on July 19, 1940, in Manheim, a daughter of the late Rennis and Maude Bolyard Shaver.

Mary Ellen completed her grade school education at Manheim, WV, which was followed by graduating from Rowlesburg High School in 1958.

Her health didn’t allow her to venture into the public work force, instead she chose to stay at home and assist her parents and sisters in running the home. She was truly an inspiration to the family and all who knew her. She developed excellent skills in cooking, cleaning and organizing the home. Like all family members she loved her flowers and carts.

She was also preceded in death by  her three loving sisters, Evelyn Shaver, Ethelyn Shaver and Velma Shaver.

She is survived by her good friend, Patricia Wotring and many cousins; Mary Ellen is the last of her immediate family.

Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 11 am – 12 noon the funeral hour with Chaplin Wendy Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
