Mary Grace (Fizer) Shrout

Mary Grace (Fizer) Shrout, 86, of Kingwood, WV, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2025 at Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital. She was born April 28, 1938 in Kingwood, WV, daughter of the late Cloyd Fizer and Hazel (Wolfe) Fizer.

Mary graduated from Kingwood High School and was a CNA at Hopemont State Hospital and Heartland. She worked at Mary’s Restaurant and was a manager at the Dairy Queen. Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by three children, Debbie Braham (Skip), Terry Shrout (Rita), Jason Shrout (Misty); five grandchildren, Melissa Thorne (Kent), Ashley Braham (Anthony), Katrina Sapp, Alisha Sigley (Jerod), Jaxson Shrout; fourteen great grandchildren, Kaylee, Savanah, Aubrey, Paige, Kolby, Slayton, Kason, Avery, Bella, Trevor, Shalynn, Vanna, Zena, Zane; life long friend, Bertha Moser-Smith; siblings, Ralph Fizer, Carolyn Fizer-Graham, Linda Fizer Uphold, Shirley Triantifilou, and Steve Fizer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alva Shrout Jr.; one brother, Jim Fizer; and one sister, Delores Denkinburger.

Cremation services will be accorded by Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, WV. A private family service will be held at a later date.
