Matthew Allen Hunt

Matthew Allen Hunt, 46, of Terra Alta, WV, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023, in Oakland, MD. He was born in Morgantown, January 10, 1977, a son of Jerry Hunt. His mother, Virgie Kathern (Helmick) Browning, of Terra Alta, survives. His step father and Pepere, Robert “Bob” Browning, preceded him in death.

Matthew graduated from Preston High School. He loved the outdoors and camping and he enjoyed watching football and soccer. Matthew enjoyed sitting in his swing.

In addition to his father and mother he is survived by: two brothers, Gene Browning and wife Kathryn, of Bruceton Mills, WV, and Robert Dugan Browning and wife Donna, of Terra Alta, WV; two sisters, Becky Hunt Drake, of Morgantown, WV, and Kelly Ann Browning, of Terra Alta, WV; nephews, Christopher Browning, Bob Browning, and Lenny Browning; nieces, Danielle Baird, and Samantha Browning; and great nephews, RJ Baird, Robert Clark Baird, and Roger Baird.

Private services will be conducted.  Kingwood Funeral Home is honored to serve Matthew’s family.
