Patricia "Patty" Taylor Obituary

Patricia “Patty” Ann Taylor, 75, of Tunnelton, WV, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2025, at her daughters’ home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on July 10, 1950, in Tunnelton, Patty was the daughter of the late Elza Andrew Taylor Sr. and Edwina Virginia Wiles Taylor. She grew up in the community she cherished deeply and proudly graduated from Tunnelton High School.

Patty lived a life centered around family, kindness, and simple joys. She worked for many years at Marrara’s and later at Foodland in Kingwood, where she was known for her warm smile and friendly nature. Patty had a passion for cooking and baking—gifts she shared generously with those she loved. She enjoyed camping, the peace of the outdoors, and any moment spent with her family. Her gentle spirit and unwavering love will be felt forever by everyone whose lives she touched.

Patty is survived by her three children, who were the light of her life: Leroy Savage (Tina) of Fairmont; Doug Savage and fiancée Linda of Kingwood; and Brenda Johnson (Louis) of Tunnelton. She leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who adored their “Nanny,” as well as her companion, Blake “Junior” Pratt of Tunnelton. She also shared a close bond with Blake’s daughters, Misty Wolfe (Jason) and Tanya Pratt (Randy). Patty is survived by her sisters, Verna “Punkin” Travis of Tunnelton and Carrie Lynn Sisler and husband Roger of Howesville; along with numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by three beloved grandchildren—Brittany Dawn Thomas, James Tyler Jones, and Zac Savage—as well as several brothers and sisters. Though the loss of those she loved weighed heavily on her heart, Patty met life with strength, faith, and enduring love.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
