Patty Jean (Shrout) Jones

Patty Jean (Shrout) Jones, 76, of Kingwood, WV, passed away peacefully with her daughter, Jodie, and Jodie’s dog, Lucy Lou, by her side, on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at her home. She was born on August 5, 1949, daughter of the late Gladys Alberta (Shrout) Odom.

Patty had worked as a cook for Foodland and Save-A-Lot delis. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, thrift shopping, dancing and listening to music. Her dogs, Coco, Gizmo and Jake, were her pride and joy. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Patty is survived by her daughter, Jodie Jones and companion Gene Pyles; two grandchildren, Charles Jones and wife Jennifer, Jackie Richards and husband Jason; seven great grandchildren; special family and friends, Shirley Conner, Madeline Bolyard, Scotty Shrout, Evadale Cozad, Jerry Tennant and Phyllis Jones.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wesley Gene Jones Sr.; and son, Wesley Gene Jones Jr.
